Big city crowds jammed into small town

Small town with big city crowds. This area is is choked with people and it’s just growing. But no infrastructure to go with it. We have long lines EVERYWHERE we go. Huge Puerto Rican population came here after hurricane Maria wiped it out. Schools are overcrowded. There’s nothing to do here unless u drive to Orlando 30 mins away and it’s even worse. I get why everyone wants to move here but it’s sad to see all the beautiful untouched wetlands and cypress forests destroyed. Kiss it all goodbye.

I have not found this to be the case. I live in Saint Cloud in Canoe Creek Lakes, and it only takes me 5-10 minutes to get to: the hospital, doctors, restaurants, groceries, pharmacies, etc. The longest I've waited in a line anywhere is maybe 10 minutes, and I've found people here mostly to be quite pleasant & friendly. Do I want hordes of people moving here? Heck no. The 'old' part of Saint Cloud is quaint, the lakefront is wonderful. It is a nice, quiet & laid back small town. If you want fast-paced & lots of activities, this isn't for you. This is a take it easy, ride your bike by the lake kind of town.

I agree, the road system in St. Cloud to Kissimmee & Orlando is woefully underequipped to handle the influx of people living here. Starting in 2016 getting off the Turnpike southbound onto Kissimmee Park Road has become a waiting game of 5-10 minutes, with all the people going to the front and cutting in. The only thing that has alleviated it from 2020 until now is COVID causing people to work from home. Hate to say it; but traffic is much better now.
